Why Do This?

I mean, it’s not a bad question…

I (James) am a massive Pierre Paquette fan. I consider him a friend, and we have a lot of fun solving the world’s problems, daily, on Discord while we drink coffee and trade off awful music videos. Outside of him being my buddy, I also admire his work and think that it deserves a wider audience. Anything I can do to help promote his work – I’ll do (so long as it doesn’t cost me much and still gives me the opportunity to show off my ability to cause inconvenience.)

We did this thing, ARTPROLE (all caps, no S) where we tried to build a community of like-minded dweebs, drips, morons and artists. It wound up a shit-show, and that’s a story we could tell in any number of ways. It was mostly like Pierre and I were cars that crashed head on and the members were the people driving by going “GOD DAMN THAT MUST HURT.” But – it was meant mainly as a community.

The folks* we’ve met through the whole Bushmiller/Nancy/Nango thing seem to actually get it – and it’s fucking cool. So – this is my way of supporting a community I want to be a part of.
